Update for Sunday 19sep21
Carol is still in the hospital. Two days ago, they were calling this an Atypical Bacterial Pneumonia.
This has been a long haul for her. She is weak and when the coughing starts, it gets all of her attention.
The Dr called me again this afternoon…
The antibiotic they started her on yesterday morning has produced no noticeable effect so far… it’s not impossible to think tomorrow’s results might show improvement.
Her white blood cell count continues to rise (15 yesterday, 16 today). He ordered additional testing which is happening as I write this… Cat Scans with contrast… abdomen, pelvis, sinus cavities…
Carol and I just talked… she is confident in the Lord and his purposes. She quoted a favorite verse…
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28, ESV)
